The Rwandan people and economy have been affected a lot since the genocide. The Tutsi's came back to Rwanda to live on their home land again, but they live next to the Hutu's who have onced killed their people. There have been plants made to help boost their economy, one of which is a pioneering methane extraction plant that provides money and power for their economy that is growing at a quick rate. This methane extraction “plant - entirely developed and funded by the Rwandan government - is testimony to the country's remarkable recovery from the horrors of the 1994 genocide” (What is the true price of Rwanda’s recovery). The genocide affected alot of the economy and govenment which caused them to have to rebuild it again after all of the massacres were over. Their economy and government have improved since this horrific event, but some people believe that this improvement has not been for the best of the community. The people who believe this, “say the economic growth has come at a high cost in terms of human rights” (What is the true price of Rwanda’s recovery). Since the genocide occurred the government has tried to prevent another genocide from happening, so they took their human rights away by strictly controling the citizens of Rwanda.
